Fans of Betty Crocker are loving Julia on HBO Max. If you haven't watched it yet, you really need to. If you don't have HBO Max, get it.
One of the things I love about Julia is that it nails what success feels like - in particular, it doesn't feel much like success at all - or at least what you thought it should feel like. The show is a mastery of storytelling in the "in between."
And since I spent a lot of my career working for PBS and publishing books, a lot of it Julia's story rings true for me.
